Sarah Whebbe, MnSEIA Director of Policy & Regulatory Affairs

Sarah Whebbe is the Director of Policy & Regulatory Affairs for the Minnesota Solar Energy Industries Association. She attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

Sarah has an extensive background in the direct deployment of distributed solar energy and energy storage technologies to the electric grid. Previously, Sarah worked directly with clean energy consumers as a Solar Consultant, originating Behind-the-Meter solar and storage projects for residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. She has also served in the role of Policy Analyst for a solar installer. She brings both a “boots on the roof” perspective and legal training to her work in energy legislation and energy regulatory policy.

Sarah can help with:

  • Sarah directs MnSEIA's regulatory efforts at the MN Public Utilities Commission to ensure solar + storage policies are implemented and upheld. She is a registered lobbyist for MnSEIA.
