Who we are:
Young Professionals in Clean Energy is a networking group for professionals interested in Minnesota's clean energy industry. Whether you're new to the industry or building your career, our community provides opportunities to connect, learn, and grow.
Hosted by MnSEIA and led by a volunteer leadership committee, Young Professionals in Clean Energy is open to anyone interested in Minnesota's clean energy industry. MnSEIA membership is not required to participate, and job seekers are welcome to attend!
Stay Connected:
Don't miss our next event! Young Professionals events are often announced just a few weeks in advance. Join our email list to receive invitations to networking events, tours, volunteer opportunities, and educational programs. We typically send emails every other month, with occasional reminders before events.
Meeting Schedule:
The group hosts events throughout the year, typically on months when there is not a MnSEIA-hosted event. Programming rotates between networking events, professional development opportunities (including guest speakers and tours), and volunteer opportunities.
Become More Involved:
MnSEIA members are invited to join the Young Professionals Committee, which organizes and manages the Young Professionals in Clean Energy group. The committee plans events, recruits new members, makes connections, and steers the group's strategy. Contact Megan Holz-Brown if you're interested in joining the committee or for more information. We always need more people to participate!

The MnSEIA's YP Committee is coordinating a volunteer landscape care event with Metro Blooms on August 7th, and we'd love for you to join us! Volunteers will pull weeds, rake, and clear debris from rain gardens in North Minneapolis. We're looking to help Metro Blooms maintain a rain garden they use as a classroom to teach community members about sustainable landscape care.
Who is Metro Blooms?
Metro Blooms is a nonprofit organization that partners with communities to create resilient landscapes and foster clean watersheds, while embracing the values of equity and inclusion to solve environmental challenges. They believe everyone has a right to clean air, land and water. They design and install native landscapes, provide grants for homeowners and communities, and host workshops on pollinator plantings and clean water strategies. https://metroblooms.org/
What is the Regional Apprenticeship Training Center?
RATC is a training center run by Renewable Energy Partners, which will ensure that students and young adults can explore career opportunities in clean energy and acquire the skills they need for emerging energy-related careers. https://renewablenrgpartners.com/about/
