MnSEIA is pleased to announce its fifth annual MnSEIA Gateway to Solar Conference.

The Gateway Conference will be held in Minneapolis November 12th and 13th, 2018, at the Hilton near the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.

Look no further: you have found Minnesota’s tried and true, industry-led solar trade group conference that focuses on the state of solar in Minnesota, the region and across the nation.

Proceeds from the Gateway Conference support MnSEIA’s regulatory and policy efforts that enhance the growth of solar across the state.

The Gateway Conference is known for robust and in-depth educational opportunities while providing networking and exhibits in a relaxed, approachable forum. This two-day working conference will bring together solar industry practitioners from all over the country for education, networking and great times.

We are looking to the future! This year’s conference will highlight a new era in Minnesota’s solar explosion, MnSEIA’s plans for continuing to grow Minnesota’s solar market share, and the opportunities and challenges of the current political climate.

Can we count on you to attend or sponsor the Gateway Conference this year? A sponsorship commitment earns you extended exposure on the MnSEIA website, our social media platforms and  email communications, and an opportunity to participate in our programming.

We are also looking for volunteers! Interested in volunteering?  Fill out this form today.

Every year, installers, financiers, developers, distributors, manufacturers, job trainers, trade unions, utilities and government agencies participate in key topical sessions for our national audience. In 2017 we hosted 400+ attendees across more than 30 educational sessions, with 48 sponsors.

MnSEIA is proud to partner with Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) to offer an all-day NABCEP course Battery-Based PV System Design (PV 230) during Day One of the MnSEIA Gateway to Solar Conference.

This all-day 4-credit course will cover battery-based PV system components, from modules and array configurations to batteries, charge controllers, and inverters. The course will review design principles for sizing battery-based PV systems, beginning with a thorough analysis of daily load requirements. Using this information, participants will determine proper system voltage and amp-hour capacity. Finally, participants will select appropriate system components and configure them to complete the stand-alone PV system.

This course is approved by NABCEP for up to 4 Continuing Education Credits and for 4 credit hours by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for Electricians and Electrical Inspectors.

You must be a paid registrant to take advantage of this free all-day course on Day One of the Conference, November 12. After registering you'll have the opportunity to reserve a spot in the course.

If you have questions or you've already registered for the conference and would like to be added to the class, please contact Jessica at info@MnSEIA.org.
