MnSEIA – Midwest Gateway to Solar

MnSRegister Today ImageEIA announces the fourth annual "MnSEIA – Midwest Gateway to Solar" Conference, in Minneapolis on November 14th & 15th, 2017.

The Midwest Gateway is known for robust and in-depth educational opportunities while providing networking and exhibits in a relaxed and approachable forum.

In year’s past, the Gateway to Solar Conference celebrated our 2013 legislation and its implementation. Now we’re looking to the future! This year’s conference will highlight the next wave of Minnesota’s solar explosion, MnSEIA’s plans for continuing to grow Minnesota’s solar market share, and the opportunities and challenges of our current political climate.

This two-day working conference will bring together solar industry practitioners from all over the country for education, networking and great times. Every year, installers, financiers, developers, distributors, manufacturers, job trainers, trade unions, utilities and government agencies participate in key topical sessions for our national audience. In 2016 we hosted 370+ attendees and had 52 sponsors.

2017 MnSEIA Non-Profit Partner Award Winner
The Clean Energy Resource Teams

The Clean Energy Resource Teams - or CERTS as most energy geeks know them-are a statewide partnership with a mission to connect individuals and their communities to the resources they need to identify and implement community-based clean energy projects. They empower communities and their members to adopt energy conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies and practices for their homes, businesses, and local institutions.

MnSEIA values the consistent and meaningful work that CERTs does for the industry and Minnesota.

2017 MnSEIA Rising Star
Representative Erin Maye-Quade, 57A

In her first year in office, Erin Maye-Quade defined herself as a  clean energy advocate. Born and raised in Apple Valley, Erin Maye Quade has deep roots in her community and is uniquely qualified to bring our values to the legislature. Before being elected as state representative, Rep. Maye Quade worked in both the public and private sector to help families achieve economic security and get ahead. As a State Representative, Erin is fighting for productive policy change driven by people. Erin is the chief House author of the 50% renewable energy standard and also co-authored both of MnSEIA's 2017 bills. She defended the Made in Minnesota program diligently, lead the opposition against the cooperative fees bill and is already one of the solar industry's strongest advocates.
